Fashion critic and media personality Charlie Dior has defended bloggers against claims that they often invade the privacy of celebrities.
Speaking during a discussion on Bullet TV on September 8, 2026, Charlie Dior argued that celebrities cannot seek publicity and later complain when bloggers create content about them.
“Celebrities want publicity until they don’t. You cannot have it both ways,” he said.
While commending Nigerian fashion designer Veekee James for her talent and creativity, Charlie Dior admitted that he sometimes finds her complaints on social media exhausting.
“Big shoutout to Veekee James, she’s very talented. I like her and I like her designs. Sometimes, she drains me a lot because every time I see her on social media, she’s complaining about something,” he stated.
According to Charlie Dior, bloggers are simply doing their jobs when they attend public events and capture content involving celebrities.

He explained that bloggers depend on trending content to attract audiences and generate revenue, making it difficult to predict which particular moment will gain public attention.
“The bloggers are not doing too much; they’re just doing their job. As a blogger, when you go, you want your content and that’s why you’re there. You don’t know what’s going to trend because the more you trend, the more they get their numbers and money, so they’re doing their job,” he shared.
Charlie Dior further argued that celebrities should not expect complete privacy when they appear in public spaces, particularly when bloggers and members of the media are present.
“When you step out in public, there’s no expectation of privacy. If you want privacy, you simply create it,” he noted.
He advised celebrities who want to protect private conversations or information on their phones to take precautions when they are in public.
“When I’m in public and I know that bloggers are around, turn down your screen or maybe get a privacy phone cover,” Charlie Dior added.
