Ghanaian media personality Nana Aba Anamoah has pleaded with parents and guardians to be patient with students who wrote the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), following the release of their results on September 4, 2026.
In a post shared on X and sighted by GhanaWeb, Nana Aba noted that parents do not need to beat their children if they fail to achieve the results they had hoped for.
According to her, the failure of these students is not the end of the world, as there are other opportunities such individuals could explore.

"Take it easy on any WASSCE candidate who didn’t get the results you expected. There’s no need to kick someone when they’re already down.
"It’s not the end of the world. Exams can be rewritten. There are always other routes forward," she said.
Nana Aba additionally noted that students who could not meet expectations following the release of the results are already facing emotional trauma; hence, parents should not add to their pain with insults and unnecessary comparisons.
"The disappointment is already heavy enough. Don’t add shame, insults, and unnecessary comparisons to it. Be supportive. They need it now more than ever," she added.
Meanwhile, the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has cancelled the entire examination results of 861 candidates and the subject results of 7,434 candidates following investigations into various irregularities recorded during the 2026 WASSCE.
