Fresh details have emerged in the ongoing divorce case between gospel musician Florence Obinim and her husband, Bishop Daniel Obinim, following earlier reports that Florence had initiated a traditional divorce after more than two decades of marriage.

Recently, GhanaWeb reported that the gospel musician had returned the drinks to the preacher's family, a Ghanaian tradition symbolising that she was no longer interested in the marriage.

But despite previously vowing in numerous videos that he would never divorce his wife, Bishop Obinim reportedly welcomed the gesture.

Per reports, Florence Obinim initiated the divorce after the preacher allegedly abandoned their matrimonial home for months.

According to a report by Gossips24Avenue, after Bishop Daniel Obinim left their marital home, relatives of the singer, identified as Elder Antwi, her brother, Frank, and sister Akosua, asked the preacher whether he would return to his wife.

The preacher reportedly responded that there was no way he would live under the same roof with the gospel musician.

Bishop Obinim allegedly added that he no longer wants to remain married to Florence, claiming she had shared private marital issues with Prophet Ogyaba, whom he described as his “enemy.”

Subsequently, three months after Bishop Obinim moved out to Trassaco, Florence formally requested a divorce in August.
She and her relatives later presented the traditional drinks to Bishop Obinim’s father in Sepaase, Kumasi, where the preacher reportedly accepted them without hesitation.

It also noted that following the request, the singer and her relatives officially took the traditional drinks to Bishop Obinim’s father to request a divorce in Sepaase, a town in Kumasi, where the preacher reportedly did not hesitate to collect them.

Reports further indicated that Bishop Obinim declared that Florence would not receive any properties acquired during their marriage, insisting he could expel her from their home at will since they were no longer married.

Florence, however, is said to have responded that she was not interested in any property and would not seek court intervention regarding assets.
