Ghanaian disc jockey and media personality DJ Slim has narrated how entertainment critic Mr Logic allegedly collected GH₵13,500 from MC Portfolio under the guise of helping him secure documents for an international event.
According to DJ Slim, the issue began when Mr Logic allegedly used his position and connections in the entertainment industry to persuade MC Portfolio to participate in a boat-cruise programme.
Speaking on the matter, DJ Slim explained that Portfolio was approached to host the event, which was expected to feature a Kumerica segment.
He explained that Mr Logic allegedly told Portfolio that the organisers had specifically mentioned him as the MC for the event and wanted him to find a Kumerica artiste to make the programme more entertaining.
According to DJ Slim, the two men initially went back and forth over documentation and other arrangements for the trip.
“He used the position he has in the entertainment industry. He said there was a program that he wanted them to attend, and it was a boat cruise.
“Both of them were going back and forth as to the documentation and other stuff. The respect he had for Logic increased by 10, not knowing it would soon reduce to zero,” he stated.
DJ Slim alleged that Mr Logic later contacted Portfolio, claiming he was dealing with a home issue and needed financial assistance.
“He said Logic called him that he was caught up a bit at where he was and he had some things to solve at home, so if Portfolio had cedis on him, he would send him his wife’s number to send GH₵3,500 to the wife. After that, he would reimburse him,” he recounted.

DJ Slim noted that the situation escalated when Mr Logic allegedly told Portfolio that he knew people in the engine room of France who could help process his travel documents quickly because the event was approaching.
“Later he came telling him that the documents they were supposed to get, he knows some people in France’s engine room so they could process the documents fast, so he should look for money and give them some since the program was fast approaching,” he shared.
According to DJ Slim, Mr Logic subsequently asked Portfolio to send another GH₵10,000.
“After their conversation, Logic asked Portfolio to send GH₵10,000 to him again. According to Logic, the guy who had access to process the document fast, his wife would meet him that evening so he would give the money to her,” he explained.
DJ Slim alleged that Portfolio sent the GH₵10,000, bringing the total amount he had reportedly transferred to GH₵13,500.
“Portfolio then sent GH₵10,000 and after that, he asked himself what he had done. He was hoping that everything would go as planned,” he said.
DJ Slim further revealed that the matter had allegedly been handled privately for more than a year before he decided to speak about it publicly.
“We’ve actually managed this situation back door for over a year now and I think Logic just duped Portfolio,” he added.
