Veteran Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, has shared a video from her daughter Meriah’s engagement, stirring a lot of buzz on social media.
In a post on her Instagram page, #realomosexy, on Saturday, Omotola wrote, “Have you heard? My twinnie is engaged! I guess we have a wedding to plan! Congratulations to the lovebirds,” while sharing the video of the occasion.
The 26-year-old apparel product developer, also known as Meraiah or Mimi, had announced her engagement, which she captioned “New chapter” two days earlier.
Meriah is one of the four children of Omotola and her husband, Captain Matthew Ekeinde, a pilot.
The couple, who married in 1996 and marked 30 years of marriage earlier this year, also have Princess, Matthew (popularly called MJ or Captain E), and Michael.

Omotola, widely regarded as one of Nollywood’s most enduring stars and a Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR), has often shared glimpses of her family life with fans over the years, with the engagement marking another milestone for the family.
