Fashion entrepreneur Osebo the Zaraman has explained why he is on the side of Akosua Serwaa, joining the movement known as “Team Legal Wives” in the dispute involving the spouses of the late Highlife legend, Daddy Lumba.

Speaking to GhanaWeb’s Elsie Lamar in an interview aired on August 11, 2026, Osebo explained that he supports Akosua Serwaa because his mother went through a similar situation, with his father having multiple women.

According to Osebo, his father was, however, unable to move out of the house because his mother was very understanding and had a good relationship with his father’s family.

Osebo said he loves Akosua Serwaa because she reminds him of his mother, particularly because of her quiet, calm and humble nature.

“I am Team Akosua Serwaa because my mother went through the same situation. I love that woman because of my mother. My father had the same problem and because my mother was so good to my father’s family that is why my father did not move out of the house. Because whenever he decides to do something, his family would come say they wouldn't allow him to do that.

“This woman is very humble, she is so cool and of course if you ask my mother to sleep here, she would be there until you ask her to get up. I love that woman because she has some qualities that my mother had when my father was alive,” Osebo said.

The legal dispute between Akosua Serwaa and Priscilla Ofori, popularly known as Odo Broni, centred on who holds the rightful title of surviving widow and sole legal spouse of the late Ghanaian Highlife legend, Daddy Lumba, following his passing on July 26, 2025.

Osebo explained that the dispute between the spouses of the late musician over who should have performed the widowhood rites was not his concern.

“I don't care who is supposed to be the widow or whatever. That is not my business. I just love her just because of her calmness and her personality, she is so quiet. Whenever I see that woman, I see my mother in her,” he said.

The fashion entrepreneur further said polygamy is something he would not advise anyone to get involved in.

However, he acknowledged that if a wealthy person believes polygamy is what they want, they can go ahead with it.

He stressed that anyone who truly wants peace of mind should stay with one woman.

“I am not encouraging people to do that, but I am just being real. If someone is wealthy and wants to be polygamous, they can, but for me, I wouldn’t do it. There’s no way I am going to advise my friend to do it, but I am just being real. There’s also no way I am going to ask any of my children to do it. I would advise them not to, because if you really need peace of mind, you will stay with one woman,” he added.
