Two-time Guinness World Records (GWR) singathon contender Afua Asantewaa Aduonum has been featured on the renowned New York Times Billboard in Manhattan, New York City, USA.

The achievement has drawn significant attention, with her image appearing on the massive digital screen located in one of the world's most famous and busiest commercial intersections.

In 2023, Afua Asantewaa made a bold attempt in Accra, Ghana, to break and set the Guinness World Record for the longest individual singing marathon.

She sang continuously for five days in a bid to achieve the feat.

However, her attempt was unsuccessful due to technical reasons.

Undeterred by the setback, she made a second attempt a year later in Kumasi, Ghana's second-largest city.

Afua Asantewaa has indicated that she is considering a third attempt abroad. According to her, the decision follows persistent criticism and cyberbullying from a section of the public.

“It is an honour for me, my country, my team, and everyone who has contributed to making the Afua Asantewaa Singathon brand what it is today,” she said after the feature in an exclusive interview.

The New York Times Billboard platform showcases photographs, videos and brand promotions on a giant digital screen in one of the busiest and most recognizable commercial locations in the world. Being featured on the platform is widely regarded as a symbol of high-profile recognition for individuals and brands.
