Founder of the Universal Spiritual Outreach, popularly known as the Ajagurajah Movement, Bishop Kwabena Asiamah, has urged members of the Kristo Asafo Mission to disregard commentary on social media and focus on preserving the legacy of their late founder, Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka.

Speaking at a thanksgiving ceremony held after the funeral of Apostle Safo, Ajagurajah encouraged the congregation to remain united and have faith in the family's ability to carry forward the late founder's work.

“Don't listen to what people outside say. Take me as a role model. You see how I don't care about what Ghanaians online say. I just ignore and show them my backside. I ignore them,” he said.

He advised members not to allow the ongoing public discussions surrounding the church and the Safo family to distract them from their faith.

Ajagurajah also stressed that the preservation of a legacy ultimately depends on the person entrusted with carrying it forward, rather than those who merely talk about it.

“Legacies are left for people who will allow it to go far,” he said.

He used his own family as an example, claiming that his father's name would not have endured if he had not taken steps to build on what was left to him.

“If my father had not given birth to me out of his 64 children, his name would have disappeared. So the legacy is left for the person who can do it, not the person who talks,” he added.

His comments come amid a bitter succession dispute within the family following the death of Apostle Safo.

The dispute escalated into a shooting incident in June 2026 involving former Dome-Kwabenya MP Sarah Adwoa Safo, who has described the incident as an attempt on her life.

The church has publicly recognised Nana Kwadwo Safo Akofena as the successor, while disagreements within the family have continued to generate public attention.

Despite the controversy, the Kristo Asafo Mission has begun a series of activities aimed at commemorating its founder and preserving his legacy, including Kantanka Month 2026, which features prayer services, charity activities and other programmes.
