Ghanaian musician Fameye has opened up about the change in his approach to life, stating that he has learned to stop carrying other people's problems at the expense of his own well-being.
Speaking in an interview with Kobby Kyei aired on August 6, 2026, Fameye mentioned that he used to take on people's burdens but has now learned the importance of setting boundaries and prioritising himself.
"The pressure I have in life is not from people's burden. I used to be like that, but now, people's problems are not mine. I'm growing and I've learnt to say no. Learn how to say no to people," he said.
According to Fameye, if people know the exact reason behind their struggles, they should remove themselves from such situations and focus on building better lives.
"When you're going through something and you know the cause of it, just move away, stay disciplined and concentrate on yourself. You're more important in this life than anyone else," he stated.
He explained that people should not sacrifice their lives and well-being for others, because life goes on even when an individual is no longer around.

"When you're no longer there, people will move on," Fameye noted.
The musician further shared how he approaches people who work or make sacrifices for him, stating that he regularly checks on their wellbeing rather than encouraging them to put themselves at risk.
"If someone is doing something for me, I constantly ask the person if they're okay doing it for me because if they die trying for me, I will replace you. The crazy thing is, you can get a replacement who is better than the one who died," he shared.
Fameye also revealed that his priorities have shifted towards spending quality time with the people closest to him.
He said whenever he makes money, he tries to enjoy it with his wife, children and close friends rather than allowing the pressures of life to prevent him from creating memories with loved ones.
"These days, when I get some money, I take my wife and children out to have fun. Sometimes, I go out with my close friends. In life, you have to enjoy and make sure you enjoy yourself with the people you love and those who love you," he added.
