Fancy Gadam has stated that he does not know the Third National Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Alhaji Osman Masawudu, popularly known as Chairman Buga Buga, who has recently been accused of “snatching” the musician’s ex-wife.

Speaking in an interview with Nana Romeo on Okay FM on August 7, 2026, the Tamale-based musician clarified that although he has seen Chairman Buga Buga on social media, they have never met in person and have no personal relationship.

Fancy Gadam also stressed that he has no issue with Chairman Buga Buga marrying his ex-wife, insisting that there is nothing wrong with the situation and that the politician is not his enemy.

“I don’t know him. I’ve never met him. I’ve only seen him on social media as Buga Buga, and I don’t even know his real name. There’s nothing wrong with that. He’s not my enemy. Ebi normal,” Fancy Gadam stated.

The musician further noted that he has never experienced heartbreak because he believes in walking away from relationships when the effort and affection are no longer mutual.

According to him, if he realises that the other person is not giving him the same level of energy that he is investing in the relationship, he chooses to leave rather than remain in an unhappy situation.

Fancy Gadam was also asked whether, as a Muslim, he would consider marrying more than one wife.

Responding to the question, he said his father, whom he considers his role model, married four wives, adding that it would not be unusual if he chose to follow the same path.

“My father married four, so it wouldn’t be taboo if I also marry four but when they say Muslims can marry four, it is not compulsory,” he responded.

Meanwhile, Chairman Buga Buga, who has come under criticism over claims that he “snatched” Fancy Gadam’s wife, has dismissed the allegations, explaining that the woman was already divorced before he married her.

Speaking in an interview shared on social media, he stated that Fancy Gadam had publicly announced the end of his relationship with the woman before he became involved with her.

He also rejected claims that he had been romantically involved with the woman while she was still in a relationship with the musician, describing such reports as false and misleading.

Chairman Buga Buga further disclosed that he only met the woman for two months and married her after fulfilling all the appropriate traditional and legal marriage requirements.
