Ghanaian dancehall artiste Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly known as Shatta Wale, has taken a swipe at members of his own team following the recent controversy surrounding his ShattaFest concert in the UK.

During a TikTok Live session shared on X and sighted by GhanaWeb on August 3, 2026, the dancehall artiste claimed that he receives little to no support from those around him.

According to Shatta Wale, he is the only person working to generate income to keep the Shatta Movement running, while members of his team contribute little financially.

“They are all fools. I am the only person managing the entire Shatta Movement, and no one gives me money. No one in my crew can say they bring in money. They are always there, and I am the one who goes out to look for money to support them and keep the team going.

“When I send them to the house of a billionaire, they can’t even bring me money. Even the fans create opportunities for me, yet the people closest to me can’t do anything to help me,” he said.

While venting during the TikTok Live session, Shatta Wale also took a swipe at his public relations manager, Sammy Flex.

According to the dancehall artiste, he sees little value in Sammy Flex’s podcast, claiming that it focuses too much on fellow musician Stonebwoy instead of promoting his brand.

“Recently, I was talking to Sammy Flex. I told him to stop talking about Stonebwoy on the podcast every single day. He still thinks we are in the radio era. He doesn’t understand the podcast he is doing,” he added.
