Artiste manager and entertainment pundit Kwesi Ernest has shared his views on the circumstances that led to the cancellation of the ShattaFest UK event.
He attributed the incident to what he described as poor crowd management at the venue.
Speaking during a discussion on Onua Show Time with Nana Ama McBrown on August 3, 2026, Kwesi Ernest stated that the organisers should have created multiple entry points to ensure the smooth movement of patrons into the venue.
According to him, limiting attendees to a single entrance created unnecessary congestion despite the large number of tickets reportedly sold.
"What I saw from the entrance of the venue, if the organisers had given like three routes for entry, it would have been the icing on the cake. I don't know the reason behind them limiting it to that one small entrance," he said.

He explained that considering the popularity of the headline act and the expected turnout, the organisers should have anticipated heavy crowds and implemented additional access points.
"Knowing the calibre of artiste that's coming and the tickets they sold, it's important that they would have additional measures in place to open the entrance up. At least there could have been a VIP lane, a regular lane and others to allow free flow," he shared.
Kwesi Ernest further argued that even after the event had begun, the organisers still had an opportunity to ease the congestion by opening more entrances when it became clear that large numbers of patrons were still waiting outside.
"Looking at the people coming, even when the event started and they realised a lot of people were in a queue, they could have just taken additional measures to open the place up for more people to enter," he added.
