Ghanaian media personality Afia Schwarzenegger has launched a scathing attack on London-based Ghanaian broadcaster Adwoa Saah following the latter’s interview with Akosua Serwaa, the first wife of the late highlife legend Daddy Lumba.

In a TikTok video, Afia questioned Adwoa Saah’s decision to revisit issues surrounding Daddy Lumba’s marriage a year after the musician’s death, accusing her of seeking attention with the interview.

According to Afia, the broadcaster’s argument about marriage and remarriage was hypocritical, as she referenced Adwoa Saah’s own marriage to a man she claimed had previously been in a relationship and had children before marrying her.

“You have nothing to do, so you booked a flight to come and show us old pictures. I used to think you were intelligent; you nearly fooled me. You just proved that speaking good English and being intelligent are two different things,” Afia said.

She further questioned Adwoa Saah’s stance on remarriage after separation, arguing that it contradicted her own personal circumstances.

“If you’re saying a married man cannot remarry after separating from his first spouse, wasn’t the man who took you to London with another woman before he came for you? You yourself said you struggled and that in your next life you wouldn’t be with a man who already has a child with another woman,” she stated.

Afia also accused Adwoa Saah of exploiting the late musician’s name for relevance, noting that Daddy Lumba had been dead and buried for a year.

“Someone has been dead and buried for a year and you now want to chase clout with his name. Go away with your stupidity,” she said.

The outspoken socialite went on to question whether Adwoa Saah would have taken the same position if the issue involved a member of her own family.

She concluded by suggesting that the broadcaster’s criticism of the late musician’s marital history may have stemmed from challenges in her own marriage.

“The way you’re acting now, it seems your husband is following another woman. If that is it, let us know. You’re acting like a very pained woman. Is your husband cheating on you just as he cheated on another woman with you? Get away and go and sit down,” Afia remarked.

Afia Schwarzenegger’s comments come after Adwoa Saah interviewed Akosua Serwaa in Germany, where the latter shared her perspective on her past marriage to Daddy Lumba, sparking discussions on social media about the late musician’s personal life.
