Founder of the Ajagurajah Movement, Bishop Kwabena Asiamah, popularly known as Ajagurajah, has explained why he was absent from the funeral of his spiritual father, Apostle Kwadwo Safo, on July 30, 2026.

According to Ajagurajah, his absence should not be interpreted as a sign that he did not care about the late Apostle.

Speaking in a video shared on social media on Thursday, July 30, Ajagurajah said he has always avoided funerals because he is uncomfortable being around corpses.

He further explained that people had questioned why he failed to attend the funeral despite Apostle Kwadwo Safo being laid to rest that day.

“People were questioning why I didn’t attend my father Apostle Kwadwo Safo’s funeral that Adwoa Safo organised. Apostle Safo was being buried today and I didn’t go. Have you people forgotten that I hate corpses?” he said.

Ajagurajah noted that he normally does not attend funerals when the body of the deceased is present, adding that people who know him should not have been surprised by his absence.

“Normally, when they’re doing funerals, you wouldn’t see me there unless the dead body is not there,” he shared.

He continued, “They said Apostle was laid at Westland Transition and they later buried him. We thank God for that. Rest in peace, Apostle.”

While expressing sadness over the circumstances surrounding the funeral, Ajagurajah praised Adwoa Safo for how she handled her father's final rites.

He urged people to pray for daughters like Adwoa Safo and expressed his own desire to have a daughter with similar qualities.

“I’m sad, but we should all pray for a daughter like Adwoa Safo. I want to give birth to a daughter like Adwoa Safo,” he added.
