Praye Tiatia, a member of the Praye music group, has paid a heartfelt tribute to late actress Beverly Afaglo, describing her as a warm, welcoming and open-minded person whose death came as a shock.
Speaking in an interview with Nahbaff Media at Accra International Airport on July 28, 2026, the musician mentioned that he had known Beverly Afaglo for about two decades and considered her family.
According to him, there were no reports suggesting that the actress had been unwell before news of her passing emerged.
"Beverly Afaglo was a lively woman, very welcoming and an open-minded person. I've known her for about twenty years, so she's family. We didn't hear that she was sick, so her demise came as a shock to me," he said.
Praye Tiatia recalled that Beverly Afaglo was the first woman to build a close relationship with members of Praye during the group's early years in the music industry.

He explained that his fellow group member, Choirmaster, was dating Beverly at the time, and because the trio lived together, she became a familiar presence in their home.
"Among the three of us, Beverly was the first woman to get close to us. Choirmaster was dating her in the early days when we were about three years into the industry. The three of us used to stay in one house, so she used to come there and we all bonded until they got married," he recounted.
The musician also expressed concern for the children the actress has left behind, urging family and loved ones to support them during this difficult period.
"I’ve been thinking more of the children. It’s not easy to lose a mother. We just have to make sure to take good care of the children she left behind," he added.
