TikTok sensation Doctor Drill has defended his wife, internet personality Adwoa Pretty, after a leaked audio recording captured her insulting him during a private conversation, insisting that the remarks were made out of anger and do not reflect how she truly feels about him.

The leaked recording, which surfaced amid the public fallout between Adwoa Pretty and her former close friend, Abena Payola, captured Adwoa Pretty describing her husband as a "goat" while venting during a phone conversation.

According to Adwoa Pretty, the conversation followed an incident at a funeral after Doctor Drill invited a female TikTok follower to attend. She claimed the woman was unable to explain how she knew her husband, leaving her upset.

Adwoa Pretty said Abena Payola later called to inform her that Doctor Drill had gone on TikTok to defend the woman. Feeling betrayed and furious, she vented during the phone conversation, directing harsh words at her husband. She later discovered that the conversation had allegedly been secretly recorded and eventually played on TikTok.

Responding to the leaked audio on The Delay Show, Doctor Drill admitted he was hurt by the remarks but said he believed there was an agenda to publicly disgrace his wife.

"I wasn't happy about it. I knew it was an agenda to disgrace her. I heard her voice on the tape describing me as a goat, but she cannot look me in the eye and say I am a goat. Although I was hurt, I wasn't perturbed. I knew what was going on," he said.

Asked by host Deloris Frimpong Manso, popularly known as Delay, whether he had questioned how his wife could describe him in such terms despite all he had done for her, Doctor Drill maintained that the comments were made in the heat of the moment.

"Truth be told, she cannot say that. I knew she said that out of anger, but it doesn't mean she did well. She didn't do well," he stated.

Doctor Drill also disclosed that the leaked recording disappointed members of his family.
"They were disappointed, but now, all is well," he said.

Despite the controversy, he said he remains committed to standing by his wife.

"When pressure begins to mount on her, I'll cover her," he said.
