The family of late Ghanaian highlife legend Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, has appointed an interim representative to oversee the musician's properties and family affairs pending the completion of official arrangements.

The announcement was made during a family gathering following the musician's passing on July 26, 2026.

Speaking at the meeting, Daddy Lumba's direct uncle, Wofa Yaw Poku, mentioned that the family would wait for the appropriate time to engage all relevant stakeholders after internal consultations had been concluded.

According to him, it is necessary to appoint someone to temporarily coordinate family matters, especially with the musician's widows and children still mourning.

"We are all in this country and we're seeing and hearing everything that is going on. When the family thinks things through, makes the necessary arrangements and calls us, we will come. Now, we have to appoint someone who can oversee things. The widow and his children are there. If we are to go to the family, who are we supposed to go and see?" Wofa Yaw Poku stated.

He continued, “We need to appoint someone for the meantime to stand by the family and oversee everything till the necessary arrangement is done to introduce the appointed person to oversee Daddy Lumba's properties and family.”

During the gathering, Victor Kofi Owusu, popularly known as Abusuapanyin Tupac, announced the appointment of Ebenezer to temporarily oversee Daddy Lumba's properties and family matters.

He explained that Ebenezer has, over the years, played a key role in handling family affairs and was therefore the most suitable person to coordinate issues until further notice.

According to him, the appointment also includes ensuring that all of Daddy Lumba's children, including those with Odo Broni, are properly cared for.

"We won't stress over this. Over the years, Ebenezer has always been the one taking care of the family affairs. If anything is needed, just talk to him and he will see to it that everything is fine. We have appointed Ebenezer to oversee everything and take care of the family," Abusuapanyin Tupac said.
