Ghanaian musician Okese 1 has revealed that he has moved on from his long-standing feud with rapper Medikal, stating that their differences are now a thing of the past.

Speaking in an interview with Zion Felix, the “Yie Yie” hitmaker said he is no longer interested in revisiting the issue, stressing that both he and Medikal have gone their separate ways.

“Medikal, oh naa, his issue is in the past. Everyone is focusing; the issue happened a long time ago. People are trying to get me to talk about it, but I don’t even talk about it anymore,” he said.

Although the two musicians are no longer in contact, Okese 1 said he has no personal grudge against Medikal and would be willing to have a conversation if the rapper reaches out.

“We don’t talk, but I don’t have a problem if he comes or he talks to me. Why not? I’m good,” he stated.

Reflecting on the breakdown of their relationship, Okese 1 admitted that several factors contributed to their fallout, including issues surrounding money and life on the streets. However, he confidently claimed that he is financially better off.

“As for him and I, a lot of things contributed to the fallout; street, money, yeah. But when it comes to money, everyone knows I’m the big one in the building,” he said while pointing to himself.

The musician further explained that his experience with betrayal extends beyond his issues with Medikal. According to him, he has helped several people over the years, only for them to turn against him.

“How I see the world now, I know anything can happen at any time because it’s not just him. I am on the street actually, and I’ve seen many things. Several times I help people, and they end up betraying me. All my life I’ve experienced those things, so it’s normal,” he said.

Okese 1 also maintained that despite the disappointments he has faced, he has always remained self-reliant and has never depended on others for support.

“I won’t meet anyone and say I need this, I need that. No one can tell you, Okese said, he needs this. I’ve been on my own taking care of myself, but I meet people, do good to them, and they treat you badly. I don’t even care about that,” he added.
