Ghanaian fashion icon and long-serving member of the Kristo Asafo Mission, Richard Brown, popularly known as Osebo, has disclosed that the late Dr Apostle Kwadwo Safo entrusted him with overseeing the church’s activities for four years.
Speaking in an interview on Hitz FM on July 13, 2026, Osebo made the revelation while responding to a question about whether he holds the position of an elder in the church.
According to him, despite his long-standing commitment to Kristo Asafo Mission, he has never been interested in occupying any official position within the church.
“No, I don’t want any position in the church,” he said.
Osebo explained that although he did not hold a formal title, Dr Apostle Kwadwo Safo entrusted him with significant responsibilities between 2017 and 2020, during which he coordinated and represented the church across different locations.
'Papa has spoken' - Osebo declares after Court ruling on Akofena succeeding late Apostle Safo
"In 2017, the man gave the church to me for four good years. I was the one running the church from Accra, Takoradi, Italy, the UK, and Germany. If there’s any message, I will be the one to go and deliver it,” he said.
He clarified that he was not serving as a church manager, but rather in a role he described as being similar to that of an ambassador.
According to Osebo, whenever there was an important message from the church, he was among those assigned to deliver it.
“I was like an ambassador, so if there was any message, one guy from Kumasi and I were the ones who delivered it. He took the Ashanti Region, and I took Greater Accra,” Osebo said.
Osebo reiterated that he has no desire to hold an official office in the church, emphasising that his focus has always been on serving through ministry rather than titles.
He further revealed that preaching has been part of his life from a very young age.
“I preach. I started preaching at the age of 11.”
The celebrity stylist also disclosed that he has remained a devoted member of Kristo Asafo Mission since 1986.
He said he has never attended another church since joining the mission as a young boy and has no intention of leaving, expressing his commitment to remain a member for the rest of his life.
