'The man was not greedy at all' – Rev Obofour praises Kantanka's final wishes

Founder and leader of Anointed Palace Chapel, Rev Obofour, has commended the late Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka for what he describes as the wisdom and foresight reflected in the industrialist's will.

Speaking during a TikTok Live discussion with Ajagurajah on July 9, 2026, Rev Obofour mentioned that the contents of the will convinced him that Apostle Safo carefully planned the management of his estate before his passing.

According to him, the late founder of the Kantanka Group demonstrated remarkable insight by reviewing and amending portions of his will after reassessing the people he believed could effectively manage his assets.

"Apostle Safo Kantanka had eyes that could see the future. His will was read like he’s still alive. When he was alive, the things he saw and those who were loyal to him were what he left behind. When you read his will carefully, you realise there were cancellations and amendments. He changed his mind on certain things, probably because he realised some of the people he had trusted would not help in the way he expected," he said.

Rev Obofour argued that children who abandon their parents during old age should not expect to be prioritised over individuals who remain loyal and supportive.

"If you are my child and I trusted you, but you left me alone in my old age because of marriage, how am I supposed to handle everything by myself? My body becomes weak, yet I still have to supervise my businesses, inspect my lands and manage everything I have built. How then can I ignore the people who stood by me and helped me when I needed care?" he stated.

He further noted that the will had deep lessons that many people might fail to appreciate, adding that his admiration for Apostle Safo had grown significantly after learning about its contents.

"The will tells us a lot, but some people will not understand why he did that. He is a very wise man. I’ve really respected that man too much. The respect I have for him has increased greatly. It shows that the work God gave him was not about acquiring wealth. I believe he is sitting at the right hand of God, and there will be peace because he has done so well," he noted.

Rev Obofour also described as extraordinary reports that the late industrialist allocated 50 percent of his shares to his house helps, saying the decision reflected careful planning rather than greed.

"The man is not greedy at all because giving 50 percent of his shares to his house helps is wild. It shows he took his time to analyse everything that should happen after his death. A lot of people will attend his funeral. Now our staff will learn to be loyal and stand by us no matter what and it will make people change their mindset," he shared.

The preacher disclosed that Apostle Safo's approach had inspired him to review his own estate plans.

According to him, he intends to meet his lawyer before the end of the year to make amendments to his will and will consider making further changes as his children grow older.

"We will all follow his footsteps because there’s so much wisdom in what he did. By December, I will call my lawyer to make some amendments. When my children grow a little more, I will also make some changes," he added.
