How Daughters of Glorious Jesus sustained their sisterhood for 37 years

Daughters of Glorious Jesus say their calling has always been a shared mission Daughters of Glorious Jesus say their calling has always been a shared mission

Legendary Ghanaian gospel group, Daughters of Glorious Jesus, has shared the values that have kept them together for nearly four decades, stressing that splitting up or embarking on solo careers has never been an option.

Speaking during an interview on Hitz FM, the celebrated trio said their relationship extends beyond music, explaining that they see themselves as sisters first, a bond that has remained unshaken throughout their 37-year journey.

They noted that their ministry has always been centred on a common purpose rather than individual recognition, adding that they believe God entrusted the gift of music to the three of them collectively.

According to the group, they have never considered pursuing separate musical careers because they view their calling as one that is meant to be fulfilled together.

They also credited their longevity to the mutual admiration they have for each other’s abilities, saying there has never been rivalry or the desire to outshine one another.

Instead, each member concentrates on contributing her best while valuing the unique strengths the others bring, a mindset they say has helped preserve the harmony that defines the group.

“Each of us sings our part to the best of our ability, and we genuinely appreciate what the other person brings to the group. There has never been any competition among us. Instead, we celebrate each other’s strengths,” the trio noted.

The trio added that love, unity, and selflessness have remained the foundation of their relationship, enabling them to navigate changes in the gospel music industry while maintaining their relevance across generations.

Emphasising the depth of their relationship, the award-winning group said they genuinely love, respect and appreciate one another, a connection they believe has been instrumental to their success.

“Not for once has it ever occurred to us to go our separate ways or pursue solo projects. The talent God gave us was meant for all of us, and we cherish that gift together,” they said.
