General Overseer of the Believers Worship Centre, Stephen Adom Kyei-Duah, has made a prophecy about the Black Stars ahead of their performance at the FIFA World Cup.

In a video shared on X and sighted by GhanaWeb on June 8, 2026, Adom Kyei-Duah, while addressing his congregation during a church service attended by Ghana’s Minister of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, expressed confidence in the Black Stars’ chances at the tournament.

According to him, every negative prophecy concerning the national team will not come to pass.

He explained that there have been several prophecies predicting doom for the Black Stars, with some suggesting that the team is already “in the mortuary.”

However, he stated that following the minister’s visit to his church, such prophecies would not prevail.

“Go and listen to all the prophecies that have been made about the Black Stars. We can all agree that the Black Stars look like they are in the mortuary because of the many prophecies.

“But if Lazarus could rise from the dead, then the Black Stars can rise and get back on their feet,” he said.

Following Adom Kyei-Duah’s remarks, several netizens took to social media to share their reactions.

While some called for changes in the leadership of the Ghana Football Association, others urged the prophet to be realistic, arguing that the Black Stars may struggle to succeed due to what they described as poor leadership and governance issues.
