Renowned Ghanaian fashion entrepreneur and Savile Row boss, Nana Sarfo has lamented what he has described as growing materialistic tendencies of Ghanaian women while also cautioning men against unnecessary financial pressure.
Speaking in an interview with ZionFelix, Sarfo revealed that some women quietly hold personal savings and even build properties on their own, yet still burden their husbands with demands rather than offering support.
"There are some women, when you get married to them, they will have some money hidden somewhere or can even be building a house, but they will still be disturbing their husbands to provide instead of helping him."
“Some women nowadays like the materialistic stuff and they get influenced by what they see on social media and then end up putting pressure on their man," he said.
According to Sarfo, a man's peaceful home is a direct reflection of his wife's character.
"If you see a man who is quiet and peaceful, just know that the wife loves him and tells him the truth," he noted.
However, he was quick to warn men against using such peace as an excuse to cheat.
"As a man, if you have a peaceful home, it is no excuse to go and be fooling around with other women," he stated.

Turning to the subject of wealth, Sarfo pushed back against the culture of chasing quick riches, stressing that true success is about how long one can maintain his or her wealth.
"If you see someone getting rich in his 20s, it doesn't mean he is successful. It's only when he can maintain that wealth for long that we can say he is.
"There are people in their 60s without anything. We can't say they're successful because they've lived long,” he noted.
He noted that real success is about staying comfortable until one's final days.
