Actress Fella Makafui has reacted to claims by colleague actor John Peasah, popularly known as Drogba, that she had not reached out to or visited him since he fell ill.

Fella Makafui responded to the allegation in the comment section of Drogba’s interview, which was shared by a blogger known as “The Village Blogger” on TikTok, saying she hoped the interview was an old one.

The actress, who played Serwaa in the popular TV series YOLO alongside Drogba, a pairing that became a fan favourite, insisted that she has been in touch with him recently.

“I hope this video is not new because that will be surprising. We’ve been communicating lately for anyone asking,” Fella wrote.

Drogba had earlier claimed in an interview with Sammy Kay Media, aired on May 29, 2026, that Fella Makafui had not personally reached out to him since his illness.

According to him, during the early stages of his condition, Fella Makafui contacted actor Jeffery Nortey to enquire about his health instead of reaching out to him directly.

He added that Jeffery Nortey was surprised, because he believed Fella already had his personal contact.

“Fella Makafui hasn’t reached out. When the thing came, she reached out to Jeffery Nortey. She has my number, so Jeffery Nortey was surprised. Later, she reached out to me with a different number and asked me when I was free. I told her I am always free, and since then, I haven’t heard from her,” Drogba stated.

Drogba also mentioned that he had reached out to several colleagues in the movie industry, including Salma Mumin, Kisa Gbekle and John Dumelo, among others, but said they had yet to extend any assistance to him.
