'Nigel Gaisie's prophecy about Ebony's death was just for clout' - Bullet

Bullet says Nigel Gaisie chased clout with Ebony death prophecy claim Bullet says Nigel Gaisie chased clout with Ebony death prophecy claim

Eight years after the tragic death of dancehall star Ebony Reigns, her former manager and record label boss, Bullet, has accused Prophet Nigel Gaisie of chasing clout with the prophecy he made about the singer’s demise.

Speaking on Angel FM, the Chief Executive Officer of Rufftown Records revealed that several pastors, including veteran sound engineer Kaywa and his own spiritual father, Pastor Douglas Peprah Baah, as well as Ebony herself, had long known she would not last in the industry.

According to Bullet, Ebony once confided that she had dreamt she might die two years after attaining fame.

When asked why he omitted Nigel Gaisie’s name while listing pastors who had prophesied Ebony’s death, Bullet explained that the Prophetic Hill Chapel founder only gained fame and notoriety because of that prophecy.

“I think Nigel Gaisie’s prophecy was just for clout because we all know that Nigel became famous after prophesying that Ebony would die,” he said.

He argued that the way Nigel Gaisie handled the prophecy was inappropriate, noting that he had personally met him that same year.

In his view, Nigel Gaisie should have reached out privately rather than making the prophecy public.

The Rufftown Records CEO further indicated that many people are seers, mentioning traditional priests and priestesses, and also argued that people who study astrology and numbers can also foresee certain things.

However, he said one should not brag about prophesying someone’s death after it comes to pass, while clarifying that he was not stating that Nigel Gaisie’s prophecy was not from God.

“For someone to be a seer is not anything extraordinary. Traditionalists are able to see things, and you can also learn astrology. There are so many things. I’m not saying Nigel Gaisie’s own is not from God. But to see that someone will die and the person eventually dies, then you become famous and start bragging that you prophesied it and it came to pass,” he added.

Dancehall music sensation Ebony Reigns, born Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng, died in February 2018.

The late artiste was involved in an accident at Mankranso in the Ahafo Ano South District of the Ashanti Region, which claimed two other lives.
