Rev Ahenkan Bonsu, the former husband of Ghanaian gospel musician Esther Smith, has made another shocking revelation following their divorce nearly two decades ago.
In a recent interview on Radio XYZ, which has been making waves on social media and was sighted by GhanaWeb, Rev Ahenkan debunked claims that he intended to use love charms on the gospel musician.
According to Rev Ahenkan, Esther Smith would not have been his preferred target if he had wanted to charm a woman into falling in love with him.
He explained that seasoned broadcast journalist Nana Aba Anamoah would have been his preferred choice at the time.
“Assuming I wanted to charm any woman in 2003 or 2004 because of fame and money, do you think I would have gone for Esther Smith?

“Looking at that period, Esther was still new, and the kind of English Nana Aba Anamoah was speaking on TV3, she would have been my preferred target because she was the epitome of a woman,” he said.
Rev Ahenkan further noted that his decision to marry Esther Smith was based on her humility and not her fame or financial status.
“I was advised by a friend to forget about the women abroad because there were good women in Accra. Kwame used to visit Esther and noticed how humble she was, so he admired her humility. Through that, he encouraged me to propose to Esther,” he added.
