A family member of the late Ghanaian cleric, inventor and founder of Kantanka Group of Companies, Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, has alleged that several relatives, including some of the deceased’s children, still do not know where his body is being kept.

Speaking in a recent interview on Adom FM, the family member expressed frustration over the secrecy surrounding the whereabouts of the late Apostle Safo Kantanka’s remains.

“We, the family members, don’t know where our royal’s body is. We know he has seven children, but the other six don’t know where their father’s body is,” he alleged.

According to him, when relatives attempted to inquire about the location of the body, they were reportedly told by the deceased’s first child, Adjoa, that the body had been placed in a “special place.”

The relative further alleged that Adjoa indicated that access to the body requires approval from the president of the church or institution overseeing the arrangements.

“When we came asking questions about where the body is kept, Adwoa, who’s the first child, told us that the father’s body is kept at a special place. Even she herself, if she wants to go see the body, unless the president approves of it,” he stated.

Controversy emerges over access to late Apostle Safo Kantanka's body

The relative said the explanation did not satisfy the family, but they chose to remain silent to avoid conflict within the family.

“We were not satisfied with what she said, but since we didn’t want to bring chaos into the family, we decided to be mute. As of now, we still don’t know where he’s kept,” he shared.

He also revealed that the situation is particularly painful because Apostle Safo Kantanka allegedly made specific requests concerning how his body should be handled after his death.

“One thing that hurt us the most is that, before the man’s demise, he said we shouldn’t keep him for long when he dies. We shouldn’t even use the knife on him,” he noted.

According to the family member, they are uncertain whether those wishes have been respected.

“We also don’t know if they’ve used knife on him or not,” he added.
