Popular media personality DJ Slim has weighed in on the ongoing clash between singer Gyakie and fashion critic Charlie Dior, questioning why the 'Forever' hitmaker would dignify the influencer’s red carpet commentary with a public response.
The drama began after Charlie Dior reviewed Gyakie’s red carpet appearance at the 2026 Telecel Ghana Music Awards, describing part of her outfit as resembling a “decorative mosquito net.”
In response, Gyakie mockingly posted a series of wardrobe mishaps involving the fashion critic.
Charlie Dior went further, doubling down on Snapchat and sarcastically declaring Gyakie the best-dressed at the TGMAs.
But DJ Slim, reacting to the ongoing drama on his YouTube channel on May 20, 2026, wasn't impressed with the whole exchange.
He questioned Charley Dior’s right to even critique anybody.
"People just get up and label themselves anything. This Charlie Dior, what are her or his credentials? What exactly has he or she done? Someone whose sexuality is confusing. What is he going to say to get it right? I'm sure Dior herself is confused. Today he's wearing makeup, tomorrow he's wearing a dress,” he said.

Slim further directed his frustration at Gyakie for engaging Charlie Dior in the first place.
"I'm shocked that Gyakie will take this personally to respond. A man who wears lipstick is who Gyakie is taking time to respond to? In my time, someone like Dior would have no say on what people wear,” he noted.
Meanwhile, the clash between Charlie Dior and Gyakie has since drawn mixed reactions online, with some users arguing that the Ghanaian red carpet standard leaves room for legitimate criticism.
Others have also established that Charlie Dior's commentary is too disrespectful to be taken seriously
