Ghanaian music group Keche has emotionally opened up about the lack of genuine love and support within the Ghanaian entertainment industry, describing the situation as “witchcraft.”
Speaking in a recent interview on Okay FM, Keche Joshua stated that the continuous failure of unity among Ghanaian creatives stems from envy, hatred, and the absence of sincere support for one another.
Recounting an incident that happened some time ago, Joshua explained that during Keche Andrew’s birthday celebration, 4SyteTV invited them to the studio to celebrate alongside another artiste who was already present.

According to Joshua, a female representative from 4Syte called Andrew and informed him that one of his “colleagues” was already at the studio.
However, after the call ended, the artiste reportedly asked who she had been speaking to. When she mentioned Keche, the artiste allegedly responded dismissively, stating that Keche were not his colleagues and insulted them using the “F-word.”
“It was Andrew’s birthday and Forsyte wanted to celebrate him alongside another artiste who was there. One lady called Andrew and said, ‘Are you on your way coming? Your colleagues are even here. I’m sitting with one of them.’ After the call ended, the artiste asked who she was talking to, and when she mentioned Keche, he said, ‘Forget them, those F-boys are not my colleagues,” Joshua recounted.
Clearly emotional during the interview, Joshua said he was deeply hurt by the comment, especially considering the relationship he once shared with the artiste.
He revealed that they had even eaten together from the same bowl in the past and that he had even contributed to the artiste’s success by helping with vocals and recording one of the person’s hit songs.
“Meanwhile, I have eaten with this same person in the same bowl before. I was one of the people who helped with your vocals, and I even recorded one of your hit songs for you, so this is pure witchcraft,” he stated.
Joshua further argued that the lack of love and unity within the entertainment industry is the reason Ghana’s creative arts sector continues to struggle.
He added that people within the industry often use every opportunity they get to pull others down instead of supporting them.
“That is why President Mahama laughs anytime he sees us, because there’s no love. Everybody is destroying the other person any chance they get,” he added.
