Ghanaian Dancehall star Shatta Wale has added two more international honours to his trophy cabinet.

The 'On God ' hitmaker emerged as a double winner at the 43rd International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA), held over the weekend in Florida, USA.

His management confirmed this in a statement issued on May 18, 2026.

The Shatta Movement boss scooped the Best African Dancehall Entertainer award and the Concert of the Year prize, the latter recognising his flagship event, ShattaFest.

In a statement signed by management, the camp expressed gratitude to the IRAWMA organisers for the recognition, describing it as a continued affirmation of African music's growing footprint on the global stage.

"These victories once again confirm Shatta Wale as one of Africa's leading musical exports and a major force in global dancehall culture," the statement read.

Management also extended appreciation to the Shatta Movement fraternity, crediting their votes, dedication, and years of unwavering support as central to the achievement.

"We also extend our deepest gratitude to fans across the world, especially the Shatta Movement fraternity, for their unwavering support, votes, and dedication throughout the years," the statement concluded.

The double win comes as further validation of Shatta Wale's sustained influence in the reggae and dancehall space beyond Africa.
