Ghanaian singer-songwriter Kuami Eugene has revealed that one of the biggest challenges in his music career is choosing which songs to release because he has hundreds of unreleased tracks sitting in his archive.

Speaking in an interview on 3Music TV, the “confusion” hitmaker disclosed that he currently has over 380 unreleased songs recorded over several years.

According to Kuami Eugene, his habit of recording music almost every day was influenced by advice from Richie Mensah, who encouraged him to maximize his creativity while he still had the energy and inspiration.

Kuami Eugene also shared that he sometimes revisits old songs, updates the production, rewrites portions of the lyrics, and repackages them to fit current trends before deciding whether to release them.

The award-winning artiste recently dropped his “Sweet Boy” EP and admitted that selecting songs for the project became difficult because he had too many strong records to choose from.

He revealed that his trending song “I’m Hurt” was not originally intended to make the EP and was only added later as a bonus track after consultations during a listening session with young music fans.
