Ghanaian gospel minister and pastor, Sonnie Badu has revealed how a dream about a burning house turned into reality when fire gutted his parents' home while they slept.
Sonnie Badu took to Facebook on May 15, 2026, to recount the chilling incident, revealing that he had dreamt of a house in flames days prior and repeatedly cautioned his wife about fire safety around their children.
Badu stated that the moment of reckoning came on a Tuesday, when he got a scary call.
“Tuesday’s sermon was interrupted by a flurry of missed calls from my dad’s phone. I stepped aside to call him back, and mum’s voice was filled with gratitude as she thanked God for saving their lives.
“I was concerned and asked her what had happened. They shared the shocking news that their house had caught fire while they were asleep, and the cause was still unknown,” he wrote.

The house, which Badu described as holding over 20 years of family memories, was reduced to ashes.
He posted photographs of the charred remains alongside his account.
“I’m thankful that God spared their lives, and now I’m committed to rebuilding their home within six months.
“I’m counting on the best architects and builders in Ghana to help me make this happen,” he stated.
"God's faithfulness is a testament to his goodness," Badu wrote, expressing gratitude that both parents escaped with their lives. "I'm trusting Him to guide us through this challenging time."
