A video has resurfaced online involving a popular Ghanaian church, First Love Centre, sparking widespread reactions on social media.
In the viral clip, sighted by GhanaWeb on May 14, 2026, some soon-to-be married couples in the church were asked to kiss in front of the entire congregation in what was described as “practice kissing” ahead of their weddings.
Following the circulation of the video, Ghanaian cleric Rev John Wesley Amenuku has joined others in reacting to the incident.

In a 1-minute 49-second video, Rev Amenuku questioned the motive behind the church’s decision to allow individuals who are not yet married to kiss publicly during a service.
According to the pastor, some churches have strayed from preaching the truth to their members, adding that the conscience of the church has been compromised.

“They are not married, but they have been called to come and kiss for the whole congregation to see… A whole church… the church Jesus Christ died for, and this is what we are practising in church.
“After the kiss, you know what will follow… Paul was shouting because he knew a church would come that would practice kissing. So, he told Timothy that he should know how to behave himself in the house of God… We have shifted truth away; the conscience is gone,” he said.
