Lawyer for ‘WebkidAfrika’, also known as Abdul Gafaru Sadi, has confirmed that Afro-dancehall musician Stonebwoy is the complainant behind the arrest of the staunch Shatta Movement fan and blogger.
In an interview on Asempa FM on May 11, 2026, the lawyer further confirmed that four charges have been levelled against the blogger, including publication of false news against Stonebwoy, offensive conduct, and actions contributing to the breach of peace.
When asked who the complainant on the charge sheet was, he stated that according to the document, Livingstone Etse Satekla, known as Stonebwoy, a renowned musician and resident of Adjirigano, is what appeared on the document.

However, contrary to the lawyer’s claims, Stonebwoy’s Public Relations representative Vida Adutwumwaa dismissed suggestions that the musician caused the arrest of the social media user.
Earlier, speaking in an interview with ZionFelix at the 2026 TGMAs on May 9, 2026, Vida Adutwumwaa said the authorities acted independently and it was wrong to link Stonebwoy to the incident.
“It is not in Stonebwoy’s power to cause the arrest of anybody. All we saw was that there was a court order and the guy was picked up,” she said.
She further pointed to Webkid’s social media behaviour as the likely reason for his arrest, noting that he had allegedly been disrespecting several prominent figures, including the Asantehene.
“We later saw that the person has been insulting various important personalities like the Asantehene and others on his social media handles. So if someone like that has been arrested, people should not instantly assume that it is Stonebwoy,” she stated.
