From having to wear a single pair of sneakers for about three years during his senior high school days, Kuami Eugene says he now has an entire room full of sneakers in his house.

In an interview on Headless YouTuber, Kuami Eugene said his friends often question why he owns so many sneakers.

He explained that during his time in senior high school, he wore just one pair throughout his three years in school.

Because of that experience, he promised himself that if God ever blessed him financially, he would buy as many sneakers as he wanted, something that has now materialised.

“If you come to my house, I have an entire room full of shoes. I have so many sneakers I can’t even count them. My boys ask me why I buy so many sneakers, and I tell them I used one sneaker throughout my entire senior high school education. So I told myself that if God blesses me and I become rich, I will buy a lot. So when it comes to cars and shoes, I have a lot,” he noted.

Speaking about his love for cars, the musician also shared that he used to watch his colleagues drive past him, and now that he can afford it, he buys any car he likes.

“It got to a point where people were saying I didn’t know what to use my money for because I was only buying cars. I used to see my colleagues drive past me, so now that I have gotten some money, any Range Rover or Jaguar I like, I will buy just to comfort myself and appreciate how much God has done for me,” he stated.

Kuami Eugene further disclosed that after releasing his hit song Angela, he became worried about whether he would ever be able to match its success.

According to him, he would often sit in front of a mirror and question what would happen if he never got another song as successful as Angela.

Because of that fear, he decided to save every cedi he earned from the song. Whenever his savings reached about GH¢50,000, he invested in land as a backup plan in case his music career slowed down in the future.

He explained that at the time, land was selling for around GH¢50,000 to GH¢60,000, so instead of spending on luxury items like chains, watches, or sneakers, he focused on saving and investing in property.
