The Apostle General of the Royalhouse Chapel International, Rev Sam Korankye Ankrah, has taken a swipe at a member of the Wesley Cathedral Methodist Church for describing pastors and elders as “thieves” over issues relating to tithe payment.

In a video shared on X and sighted by GhanaWeb on May 1, 2026, Rev Korankye Ankrah noted that the woman involved in the video has brought curses upon her family.

According to the renowned preacher, the statement made by the woman was unwarranted, adding that he has been praying for forgiveness on her behalf after chancing upon the video.

"I saw a viral video where a woman was addressing her bishops because her bishop was teaching on tithes and offerings and then quoted Malachi chapter 3. Then she said, 'Me, the tithes, I can pay, but I choose not to pay because of what you people use the tithe for.

“'All of you, from bottom to top, are armed robbers in front of the church.' And, come and see, all the people were hailing the woman and clapping. And I was praying for her. This woman has brought trouble upon herself and her children by telling men of God that you are all thieves because he is preaching," he said.

The man of God additionally advised the woman not only to seek forgiveness from the church leaders but also from God to avoid any misfortune in her life.

"I hear she has apologised. She had better than that, she had better apologise. Not only apologise to the bishop, but she must ask God for forgiveness and for mercy, and save herself and her children from destruction," he added.
