Ghanaian songstress Sista Afia has stated that she has not concerned herself with the 2026 edition of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards because she was not nominated.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with GhanaWeb’s Patience Adu, she explained that she has shifted her focus away from the award scheme and is instead concentrating on her upcoming album, which is expected to be released soon.
According to her, she has not heard anyone complain about being snubbed in any category, the lack of a proper venue, or any other issue concerning the awards scheme.

“I’ve not paid attention because this year I wasn’t nominated so my attention has not been on TGMA. I don’t know who is complaining and who is not complaining. I’m working on my album so that’s where my attention is right now," she said.
She, however, endorsed Medikal and Wendy Shay for Artiste of the Year.
She explained that she is rooting for Medikal because he is like a brother to her, while she is supporting Wendy Shay because she is a woman and she will always support fellow women.
“I’m a lady’s girl so I will go for Wendy and I will go for Medikal, because Medikal is my brother and Wendy is my girl. I like girls to win," she added.
