Popular Ghanaian musician Kwame Eugene has ushered in a new chapter of his career with the release of his EP, “Sweetboy”, marking his first project as a fully independent artiste.

The body of work, which features eight tracks, highlights Kwame Eugene’s versatility and growth, with songs such as “Potomanto,” “Stranger,” “Makola,” “Save me”, “Promise me”, “I’m hurt,” and “Adult Music,” which is already drawing attention.

The project also included collaborations with Ghanaian songbird Gyakie and Nigerian singer Johnny Drille.

Speaking at the exclusive listening session, Kuami Eugene emphasized that ‘Sweet Boy’ represents more than just music; it symbolizes freedom and ownership.

According to him, this is the first time he is releasing a project entirely on his own terms after Lynx Entertainment

“It’s been one and half years after Lynx entertainment, so I think this is the right time to put a piece out there about what I feel, and not what a company put together to represent the guy. This is the first time a doing a project that represents myself,” he said

Kwame Eugene also hinted at what’s next, revealing that he is already working on a full album, which he plans to release soon as part of a series of back-to-back projects for his fans.

The event attracted several industry players and veteran entertainers, including Tic Tac, MzBel, Sista Afia, Cojo Rae, and DJ Vyrusky, among others.

The night was filled with performances and a showcase of Kwame Eugene’s catalogue, reinforcing his position as one of Ghana’s most consistent hitmakers while signaling a bold, independent future.
