Renowned gospel musician Augustina Addison has officially launched her 40th anniversary in music ministry at a media event held at the Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC), Asokwa.
The media launch, held on Tuesday, April 29, 2026, unveiled activities lined up for the main anniversary celebration slated for October 11, 2026.
The event brought together industry players, clergy, and members of the media to honour her four decades of impact in gospel music.
In her address, Augustina Addison thanked the public for walking with her through the 40-year journey.
“I want to thank every Ghanaian who has supported my ministry since day one. Your prayers, your love, and the way you received my songs have kept me going. Without you, there would be no 40 years to celebrate,” she said.
She added, “To the media, churches, pastors, and my fans across the world, thank you for believing in me. As we prepare for October 11, 2026, I ask that you continue to stand with me. This celebration is not mine alone; it is for all of us who believe in the power of gospel music to change lives.”
The anniversary is expected to feature a concert, charity events, and other activities to mark the milestone.
Also speaking at the launch, Apostle Peter Kofi Dzimekey, Area Head of the Church of Pentecost in Asokwa, praised the gospel musician for her consistency and dedication to ministry, describing her life and work as worthy of celebration.
The 40th anniversary is expected to highlight not only Augustina Addison’s musical achievements but also her spiritual influence and contribution to the growth of gospel music in Ghana.
