Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central, Kwame Asare Obeng, also known as A Plus, has shared his thoughts on the long-standing rivalry between dancehall artistes Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy.

He has stated that their feud should not be completely resolved.

Speaking in an interview with Elsie Lamar on GhanaWeb TV, aired on April 28, 2026, A Plus said he sees value in the rivalry within the entertainment space.

“Yes, I think Shatta Wale’s feud with Stonebwoy should continue. Both of them are my friends, and I see value in everything,” he said.

He drew comparisons with long-standing sports rivalries, arguing that competition is part of life and should not always be eliminated.

“Why should Kotoko and Hearts wake up one day and become friends? That’s life,” he stated.

According to him, the rivalry between the two artistes is more of a business strategy than personal hatred.

“They’re not real-life enemies. It’s the business that they’re doing. Shatta Wale has his fanbase, and Stonebwoy also has his, so that’s how they make money. Why do we want to end the feud?” he explained.

He further likened the situation to a long-running court case used to support a family, suggesting that some conflicts sustain certain systems over time.

“It’s like a lawyer whose son went to end a 20-year-old case. The case has been going on for twenty years, and this guy went to finish the case,” he shared.

He continued, “He thought his father was going to say he had done, but he reacted otherwise. The father told him that he used the case to pay his school fees and made his life comfortable, so he decided to end it. Then he said they would have to go for a review.”

A Plus noted that the public should not overreact to such industry rivalries.

“I think all this is show business, so they’re not enemies. When I see people trying to get involved in the fight, I always say it’s not that deep,” he added.
