For years, Ghanaian comedy has battled stereotypes of not being “funny.” But on April 26, 2026, that narrative was shattered when Nigerian-Ghanaian comedian Parrout Mouth staged his ‘Laugh It Off’ show at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA).
The 4,000-capacity auditorium was packed to the brim, with audiences erupting in laughter throughout the night.
Parrout Mouth’s sharp wit and energetic delivery kept the crowd excited, proving that Ghanaian comedy is thriving and commanding attention.

The evening wasn’t just about him. A lineup of Ghana’s finest comedians, including Kwaku Manu, Funny Face, Jeffrey Nortey, Clemento Suarez, and Lekzy DeComic, kept the energy high with their signature styles.
Legendary Nigerian comic Klint Da Drunk and MC JP added their own flavour, ensuring the show was a cross-cultural celebration of humour.

Speaking to GhanaWeb’s Joseph Henry Mensah after the event, Parrout Mouth expressed gratitude to Ghanaians for embracing his debut show:
“UPSA takes more than 4,000 people. You witnessed what happened. All the floors were filled; these are Ghanaians, and they love Nigerians,” he stated.
He dismissed long-standing claims of tension between Ghanaians and Nigerians, insisting the turnout was proof of mutual love and support.
