Indian hemp, commonly referred to as “wee,” has been strongly discouraged by comedian Funny Face, who has urged Ghanaian youth to stay away from it and avoid drugs entirely.
In an interview with GhanaWeb’s Joseph Henry Mensah on April 26, 2026, at comedian Parrot Mouth’s event held at the UPSA Auditorium, he cautioned young people to be mindful of drug use and avoid being influenced by peers into substance abuse.
He noted that it may be good for someone but not necessarily good for another person, as individuals’ bodies react differently.
“The youth should stay away from drugs. At one point, some of us were told by a friend that if you go and smoke weed, whatever you’re feeling will come down, but instead, it became worse.
"They should be very careful about it because it might be good for somebody but not good for you. Everybody has their own destiny, so they should stay away from drugs,” he said.

Funny Face also touched on mental health, urging them to take care of their mental health.
“They should start reading about it or learn about it,” he said.
The comedian further spoke about how he comes up with his jokes, explaining that they are mostly not scripted but are based on real-life issues, which he then turns into humour, particularly drawing from everything he has been through.
The Children’s Father, as he is affectionately known, also hinted at plans to stage his own comedy event.
He said he is currently putting a few things in place so everything aligns properly before he headlines his own show.
