The CEO of high-end luxury fashion brand Savile Row Ghana, Nana Sarfo, has made a bold claim about the state of the fashion retail market in Ghana.

According to him, the overwhelming majority of brands operating in the country are not selling authentic products.

Speaking on an episode of the Revealed Show, Sarfo did not give any names but insisted that the market is full of a majority of fake products.

"In Ghana, 99.9% of brands are not original. Believe me. I won't lie to you. I don't want to spoil somebody's business. But I tell the truth," he said.

The luxury retailer said the prevalence of inauthentic goods in the market has made his own journey as a seller of genuine products particularly difficult, as many customers doubt his own products.

"It's not easy to sell such a brand in Ghana and go further. A lot of people don't believe that I sell originals. Because here, a lot of people travel and buy," he said.

Despite the challenges, Sarfo said his persistence and faith have seen him through.

"I faced a lot of challenges, but by God's grace, I have become like this. It's not easy. But I thank God that now everybody can see, anyone who comes here can see that I sell authentic brands," he said.
