Offset said he doesn’t want anyone to “feel sorry” for him after he was shot near the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, on April 6.
Per Complex, the 34-year-old rapper touched on the shooting incident during an interview with Andy Bachman on the Creators Inc. Podcast. Bachman made mention of Offset’s activities after the shooting, saying that the Bad and Boujee rapper traveled to Los Angeles from Florida to perform and also partake in the interview.
He stated that the former Migos member did that just six days after the incident.
Offset noted that he was moving on regardless of anything.
“Gotta keep pushing, like the Energizer Bunny, man,” he said. “Keep this sh*t pushing. We don’t have time to be slowing down.”
Offset also touched on how he traveled, saying that a bed was put in a G5 jet. “Lay on that thing for six hours, go to sleep, you’re cool,” he stated.
Offset explained that he was at the wrong place at the wrong time when he was shot.
“But we here, man. I’m pushing,” he added. “At the end of the day, the grind doesn’t stop. I don’t want anybody to feel sorry for me, or no sh*t like that. People get shot every day, bro.”
In the aftermath of the shooting, Offset took to social media to thank the people who reached out to him to check on his well-being.
“I’m good….but I’m planning to be better!” the 34-year-old wrote. “I’m focused on my family, my recovery, and getting back to the music…realizing that life is made up of quiet wins and loud losses…. Life’s a gamble, and I’m still playing to win.”
The FBI Miami is currently investigating the shooting incident.
