Kofi Owusu Aduonum, the husband of former Guinness World Record singathon contender Afua Asantewaa, has spoken for the first time following weeks of controversy surrounding their marriage.

In an interview on United Showbiz, shared on X on April 12, 2026, Kofi Owusu Aduonum called on Ghanaians to remember him and his marriage in their prayers.

According to Aduonum, every marriage has its ups and downs; therefore, he wouldn't want to address his marital issues in public.

“I will plead with you that we should put all our arsenals down… I wouldn’t want to be the topic of discussion, so the only thing I would request from Ghanaians for now is prayers. We have children, and I don’t want them to come across these things on social media,” he said.

He further noted that they have been able to resolve the differences in their marriage.

He explained that he and Afua Asantewaa have met, addressed their issues, and are now on good terms.

“I can state with authority that everything has been resolved. We have met in person, so there are no issues between us. All we are asking from Ghanaians is prayers,” he added.
