Media personality Nana Romeo has criticised Ghanaian rapper Kwaw Kese and dancehall artiste Shatta Wale for some controversial statements made during their performances at the recent Gomoa Easter Festival.
Kwaw Kese, midway through his performance, said the youth are forced to beat the system to make money due to unemployment, implying that Abu Trica should not be faulted and that fraudulent activities could be an option.
Shatta Wale also referenced his EOCO arrest a few months ago, claiming the anti-fraud agency was “lucky” not to have arrested him.
Speaking on this development during his show on OkayFM, Nana Romeo condemned both artistes for their choice of words, warning that such statements could worsen Abu Trica’s legal troubles.

“This message is for Kwaw Kese and Shatta Wale in a very amicable manner, no issues attached. I decided not to speak about it, but I have to. The words that came out of your mouths were foul. Your words imply that the youth can get into fraudulent activities to make money because there are no jobs in the country. Your words are rather going to cause more harm to Abu Trica than good. I love you, but this statement is below the belt,” he said.
Nana Romeo further criticised Shatta Wale for insulting people instead of using his platform to advise the youth.
“Shatta Wale actually insulted people. Shatta, I have genuine love for you, but this is not right. You had the opportunity to advise them, but chose not to. If you have the chance to address people and you have nothing to say, please shut up. A lot of the things the two of you said are not sensible,” he added.
