Nigerian Afrobeats musician Burna Boy has spoken publicly for the first time about his altercation with DJ Tunez.

In a video sighted by GhanaWeb on April 9, 2026, Burna Boy went live on Instagram during a conversation with Shalipopi, dismissing claims that his associates assisted him during the confrontation.

“It’s a lie, 10 people didn’t touch that guy. I’m the only one who fought him, I swear. I gave him two slaps and even told my people not to touch him. So I understand why they’re saying he was up against 10 people,” he said.

According to him, Wizkid is only vocal online.

“They are only loud on social media. I even thought he was going to call his boss to do something, but his boss is only tweeting online. So what was the point? I think I wasted my time,” Burna Boy added.
