Ghanaian blogger and entrepreneur Zionfelix has weighed in on the ongoing social media discussions surrounding sing-a-thon star Afua Asantewaa, criticising her for how she has handled her marital issues publicly.

In a video shared on social media by Zionfelix on April 3, 2026, Zionfelix expressed concern over Afua Asantewaa’s recent activities on TikTok, stating that her actions are becoming excessive, especially considering that she is still legally married.

“Anyone close to Asantewaa should seize her phone; she’s been doing too much lately. Initially, I thought it was an `April fool’, but it turned out it’s not,” he said.

His comments follow Afua Asantewaa’s revelation during a TikTok live session that she is separated from her husband but not officially divorced.

Since then, she has made several videos addressing her marriage and responding to public reactions.

Zionfelix noted that her repeated statements about her husband, as well as, content involving their daughter, have raised concerns.

“When she first talked to Fire Oja on a TikTok live, stating the fact that she’s separated from her husband, but stressed that she’s not divorced. The kind of utterances she’s making about the husband [not good].

“Even her daughter said this in one of her videos and other videos that she put out there. Now, if someone says something about her husband, she will make a video and respond. I feel she’s doing too much because the man is still her husband,” he stated.

He questioned why she continues to respond to criticisms online, stressing that such actions only intensify public scrutiny.

“I don’t know what is happening or how far things have gone, but you claim you’re not divorced, so he’s still your husband and you’re doing this to him? You both have kids and family,” he said.

According to Zionfelix, social media is not the right place to share such sensitive issues, as users are more interested in content than in genuine concern.

“When some people were telling her that TikTok wasn’t the right place to talk about her marital issues, she asked them where the right place was. It’s like she doesn’t know people on TikTok don’t really care about anyone or what you’re sharing. They don’t care about your marriage; they only care about the contents they can create out of it,” he shared.

He also referenced actress Nana Ama McBrown, whom Afua Asantewaa reportedly cited as an example. However, he pointed out that McBrown handled her situation differently.

“During the live, her friend told her she wasn’t supposed to say all those things and she said even Nana Ama McBrown spoke about hers. Yes, McBrown spoke about her divorce, but she said it once. She didn’t make videos to try to reply when someone talked about her husband,” he explained.

Zionfelix further criticised Afua Asantewaa for repeatedly addressing the issue online and involving her child, describing the approach as unnecessary and damaging.

“She even made videos with her daughter, throwing tantrums at her husband and trying to tarnish his image. If you’re referencing McBrown, who’s your mentor, she didn’t do what you’re doing now,” he noted.

He added that by continuously sharing details about her marriage, Afua Asantewaa has opened the door for public criticism and commentary.

“Now you’ve given rooms for people to discuss your marriage and talk anyhow they want about your husband and yourself. Honestly, this is childish,” he added.
