Ghanaian musician AratheJay has disclosed the reason behind his decision to start his music career wearing a mask.

Speaking on Onua TV on March 29, 2026, Arathejay explained that the move was a deliberate strategy to stand out and draw attention to his brand.

According to him, the mask was part of a unique style he introduced into the industry to spark curiosity among music lovers.

“It’s my style, so I will keep wearing the mask once in a while. I decided to come to the industry with a style,” he said.

He noted that the mystery surrounding his identity played a key role in building public interest, as many people were eager to know who he was behind the mask.

“I knew people would want to know who I was when I was wearing the mask. Everyone was eager to see my face. The plan was to attract people for them to question my identity,” he explained.

Although he has now revealed his face, the musician made it clear that the mask remains part of his brand and will not be abandoned completely.

“Now I’ve revealed my face, but it’s not permanent. I will still put the mask on from time to time,” he added.
