Videos and pictures of a somber Abu Trica being led away from court premises have been making waves on social media following the latest ruling by the Gbese High Court.

The court, in its sitting on Friday, March 27, 2026, had ruled that the embattled Ghanaian socialite and businessman be handed over to the US authorities for extradition proceedings.

His legal team was, however, granted 15 days to file documents to contest the ruling.

The Court had dismissed an application filed by his lawyers claiming that his arrest and detention were politically motivated.

Videos making waves on social media showed the handcuffed influencer, clad in a black T-Shirt and shorts, in a sombre mood as he departed the premises with police officers after the proceedings.

Abu Trica has been in police custody since December 11, 2025, after he was arrested in a joint operation between the FBI and Ghanaian security agencies.

Abu is facing up to 20 years in prison if he is convicted in the US for his alleged crimes.
